Ashen E.C is proud to be a clicker training centre. Our horses and all the horses we take for starting/rehabilitation/training/schooling are worked with the assistance of the clicker. It makes us truly proud to have a yard of happy horses, keen and eager to "work" each day.

Clicker training is a fantastic tool to positively re-enforce desirable behaviour,
To assist training, both ground-work & under saddle,
To improve rapport between horse and handler/rider,
To increase motivation,
As well as assisting with behavioural issues.

Clicker Training is also available (on request) to One:2:One particpants.

Ashen E.C. has hosted Clicker Clinics for Alexandra Kurland annually since 2005 and Becky Chapman was invited to give a Clicker Training Lecture/Demos at 2008's Your Horse Live.

We are delighted that Alexandra Kurland is returning to Ashen E. C. for an Advanced Clicker Clinic in June 2010, for more details about Alex see our About Us page.

All handlers/riders and horses attending will need to be familiar with the clicker and the Foundation Lessons and therefore will need to have trained with Alex before and/or attended the Clicker Foundations Clinic detailed above*.

*It may be possible to join Alex' Clinic without attending a Foundations Clinic is you can present written/video evidence or your clicker work.

This years format will, once again be slightly different from last and run over 3 days rather than 2.

We will meet on the evening of the 14th, and once the horses have been settled have a chat over "what we have learned since last year." This chat will be followed by dinner for the group (provided by Ashen E.C and included in the cost of your clinic).

Participant's lunch and dinner will also be included on the 15th and 16th as will lunch on the 17th, adding to the atmosphere of the clinic and to allow particpants to spend as much time as possible with Alex over the 3 days she is at Ashen E.C.

N.B. Participants who want to ride on the clinic must be using the clicker under saddle and at least in walk and trot at home and should be familiar to the Alex's books and videos.
